- New user interface (UI) for iBiller
Emails
Optimized mailbox
The iController mailbox behavior was optimized. Each user now has the choice to send emails with:
a fixed email address without a choice when sending an email a fixed email address, but with the choice to change the email address when sending an email the company’s email address only iController no longer relies on default settings or fallback email addresses. The result is that you will always know exactly which email address is being used to send your emails from iController.
Sending emails via SMTP
By popular demand we’ve provided the option to send emails through your own SMTP-server. SMTP allows your IT department to monitor outgoing emails in a secure way.
Sending emails via Office 365 SMTP (OAuth)
If you are an Office 365 user, you can use OAuth authentication to connect with SMTP protocols and send outgoing emails.
Reporting
Send dynamic reports to your representatives easily
When there are a lot of representatives in your platform it makes sense to only send them the relevant data in reports. In the task scheduler, you can now indicate that this report should be sent to each representative, based on the representative email. This new behavior saves you time because you don't need to create a report for each representative individually.
You can do this by creating a separate task to send reports to the corresponding representative. The emails with the reports will only be sent when there is relevant data for the clients and documents of the representative, and when a template in the language of the representative is present.
Online payments
New payment service provider: Twikey
Twikey was integrated as a payment service provider (PSP). Twikey was already connected for SEPA direct debit mandates, but we made it possible to make online payments via Twikey as well. For those who already work with Twikey, this has the advantage that you don’t need to set-up an additional PSP.
User management & security
Request for access limitations
In order to perform general maintenance to your iController or help with a technical issue we sometimes request permission to access your iController. Until now, we could also request access to users with the role “Viewer” and “Active Viewer”. In V26, we are limiting the access requests to “Credit Controller” and “System Administrator” roles.
Changing password every x months
As a result of a recent external audit, you now have the option to enforce a password change every X days in case SSO is not enabled.
Link directly to an iController page for customers or colleagues without iController access
Not all teams within your organization have iController access. To easily share information internally or grant access to an overview screen for your customers or colleagues directly, iController created an OpenAPI. This allows your IT department to create a link in your ERP or customer portal, directly to an external iController page. The person clicking this link does not have to be an iController user, but will have an overview of the open items and copy invoices.
General
iBiller
When sending an invoice with iBiller, your clients can consult all the outstanding and already paid invoices. We’ve changed the layout of this page and added three extra buttons: Register a dispute, Register payment promise, and Pay. At the top you can choose between Open invoices and All invoices.
Note overview
Since one of our recent releases, the note overview on the customer page showed the document numbers next to each note. When an action was processed for 10+ documents, the page became unreadable. We made a minor UI-change which hides most of the document numbers, but still allows you to open or close the view of other document numbers.
API extensions
We’ve added additional endpoints in our PULL API.

One time import template for document notes
For migrating data from your old collections system to iController we provide one time import templates. Newly added in V26 is the template “Add Document Notes” that helps migrate notes on document level to our platform.
Channel workflow steps and status
You can already use some actions in the workflow steps of our Channel product, like “Close case”. We’ve added new workflows: “Waiting for requester” and “Waiting for delegate”. You can filter on all these steps on the overview screen.
Tracking lists of partial online payments
On your worksheet, you can now show a tracking list of partial online payments. Documents with at least one partial payment will appear in the list.
That’s a wrap. We hope you will appreciate these new functionalities. And as always, we are happy to listen to any product improvement requests.
